I have several classic US covers, stamped and stamped envelopes up on Yahoo
Auctions. Starting bid on each is 20 cents. I will be listing many more over
the next week or so as I am disposing of my postal accumulations. Please
check them out. Also have some 1950-ish commercial covers from the Union of
Soutgh Africa ans South West Africa , some with multiple high denomination
stamps.

Thanks

I don't normally frequent yahoo auctions. But, let's say I wanted to look
at your stuff. Afterall, I do collect older US covers. Wouldn't a URL or
some way to get to your listings be prudent?

Good idea Nick! Yahoo has dropped all fees, listing and final, on their
auctions. Since the sell cost is now zero, I can list a lot of items at a
price that I could not list them for on eBay because eBay fees eat up the
sell price..

Thanks, Phil.

And that made it so much easier to find your covers. I went through and bid
on a handful. But then, Yahoo cut me off saying I wasn't allowed to bid on
more than 5 items. What???!!!!! My Yahoo ID has existed for, oh, probably
in excess of 5 years. But no, I don't have any real auction ratings. And,
apparently, I won't have, because I simply don't have time for this type of
horse shit. Sorry, nothing against you, Phil, but I can see why Yahoo
auctions are still off in the weeds when compared to other venues.

I'd say there were a total of 10-12 covers I would typically chased.
However, I'm not going to bother to look through them again. In 9 days, I
won't even remember them :(. If I win one of my limit-of-5, I'll pay up and
be happy. But I also won't be inclined to chase an outbid notice.

Ok, back to eBay. Thanks anyway!

Damned if I knew that they did that. I've bitched to them on your behalf. If
they want to compete they'd best drop silly rules like this!

Thanks. For the record, I forwarded a copy of what I posted, along with
some more explicitives <grin>, to their feedback address. I don't expect
anything to come of it, but that's the way it goes.
