A new worm called W32/***@MM has been identified. This worm spreads through e-mail and network shares. The worm creates messages that are designed to appear as if they are a security update from Microsoft. If you receive an unexpected e-mail that claims to be from Microsoft that instructs you to open an attached file, do not open the attachment. Delete the e-mail immediately. Microsoft never widely distributes software through e-mail

Keep your virus software running and updated. If you want a very good
and reliable Free virus utility that will run on its own and keep its
self updated go to grisoft.com and download AVG. Its probably one of the
better programs available and its free. Some of the other more well know
programs - McAffee and Symantec, not only cost quite a bit but they also
suck up a lot of system resourses where AVG runs very silently in the
back ground and uses virtually no resourses. Ive repaired many computers
that were infected with viruses that were using "updated" versions of
the McAffee Virus software. Just my 2 cents worth,
